There are currently several different specialties which use hemodynamic monitoring for a variety of clinical applications. One of the advantages of using the EC Monitors versus invasive and minimally invasive methods of measurement is that the ICON and AESCULON can be used in neonates, pediatrics, and adult and are completely non-invasive. No arterial line or esophageal probe is required, and unlike many Doppler methods, once the EC Monitor is setup on a patient they can continue monitoring the patient without the operator present.
Each Area of Care page discusses the current and potential use of monitoring hemodynamic parameters in patients within the corresponding specialty. Select one to learn more!
