Hemodynamic Monitors

Areas of Care

No Time Wasted

The EC Monitors have an intuitive interface that is simple and easy to setup, and allows for easy data transfer. The interface of the AESCULON® and ICON® allows for easy navigation so that no time is wasted in caring for the patient. In less than 3 minutes the hemodynamic assessment can be made available for differential diagnosis, optimizing fluid administration and/or drug titrations.

Easy Setup

The AESCULON and ICON monitors require minimal time for setup. The process from beginning to end is a fast and easy 4 step process.

“The monitors do not require an experienced operator” – Schmit et. al

  • Step 1: Place the iSense skin sensors on patient

  • Step 2: Press MENU

  • Step 3: Input the patient height and weight

  • Step 4: Press MEASURE to start measuring

Sensor Placement:

The recommended placement of the four iSense EC Skin Sensors is along the mid-axillary line on the left side of the body as shown by the diagram below.

The EC Patient Cable, which connects the sensors to the EC Monitor, is both color and letter coded to avoid any confusion in sensor placement.

Data Integration

The Philips VueLink™ / IntelliBridge™ Interface allows for full integration of the Electrical Cardiometry (EC) hemodynamic parameters with the Philips IntelliVue / IntelliBridge Patient Monitor (PIPM), CM, and V26/24 patient monitoring systems. The EC Monitors are also currently able to interface with the Vital Sync™ System from Somanetics. With these EC interface connections, clinical staff can refer directly to the patient’s bedside monitor for a more comprehensive view of the EC parameters alongside all the other displayed vitals and be able to export the EC parameters into a universal EMR language - HL7.

Additional EC interface connections to patient monitoring systems, such as MetaVision and GE, coming soon!

Additional Features and Benefits of the Philips VueLink / IntelliBridge Interface

  • ≫ Online data transfer from EC monitors (such as ICON or AESCULON) to the Philips Monitor using a digital cable

  • ≫ Real-time display of non-invasive cardiac output and other available EC parameters on the Philips Monitor

  • ≫ Real-time display of EC waveforms (including ECG) on the Philips Monitor

  • ≫ Integration into Philips IntelliVue clinical network

  • ≫ Non-invasive cardiac output data from multiple patient beds can be observed online using a central Philips IntelliVue Information Center

  • ≫ Extended storage on IntelliVue database servers
